Movements that Matter
Curated by Colt Technologies and Sukai Eccleston
It was such an honour to have my pieces on show alongside some brilliant Black British artists for the Movements That Matter Exhibition. Through the language of abstraction, this exhibition explores the theme of Movements of social activism and the personal and physical journeys that drive change.

Art by Patty B pieces selected for this exhibition included
Miriam Makeba - a great matriarch of movement, who took the courage to use her voice against the apartheid in her home country of South Africa.
Black and Love - a piece representing the love at the heart of blackness. We are often reminded through our long lived oral tradition that progress is only generated by loving intentions.
La Vie en Rose and Sisterhood were also selected for the show. The two pieces feature 5 women, representing the power of a sisterhood.
